Wonder of wonders

I found this photo of the famous Norwegian Geiranger Fjord on a site dedicated to photography. It was shot by a guy that went there.

How many of you can recall watching the Lord of the Rings? I was more than convinced that landscapes like those did not exist on the face of the earth. But nature time and again contradicts me. With its greatness, its imagination, its splendor. Just take a look at the boat. How small it seems to be, yet it is well above 40 meters long... Getting the analogies? Those steep mountains that submerge into the water, like walls, like a fortress ditch. A fortress placed above all... Overlooking all creation...

Let us not forget that it is the country of the Vikings, of God Thor and his hammer Mjølner and the Valkyries that when you died in battle escorted you to Valhalla. There, you could fight in battle during the day and in the night, feast and talk about your achievements in battle No wonder there was such greatness in their mythology... This type of scenery would trigger the minds of everyone making up stories about battles of gods, giants and humans.
